New multidisciplinary initiative will monitor, anticipate and shape the impact of artificial intelligence and frontier technologies through Gold Mercury's GLOGO® Global Governance Monitoring System®, providing strategic intelligence for governments, enterprises and international institutions.
LONDON, UK, 1st July, 2026 – Gold Mercury today announced the launch of DISRAPTOR AI®, its new Megavisionary Technologies Task Force, a multidisciplinary initiative established to help governments, enterprises and international institutions understand, anticipate and respond to the opportunities, risks and civilisational impact of transformative technologies.
As artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum computing, biotechnology, human augmentation and other exponential technologies rapidly reshape industries, economies, governance and society, DISRAPTOR AI® has been created to provide independent strategic intelligence, anticipatory governance and long-term foresight at a time when technological innovation is advancing faster than institutions' ability to understand and govern it.
The Task Force will operate using Gold Mercury's proprietary GLOGO® Global Governance Monitoring System®, assessing the implications of artificial intelligence and exponential technologies across the eight interconnected domains that shape planetary futures: security and peace, the economy, science and technology, the environment, resources and industry, health, governance and the rule of law, and society and culture.
Understanding Megavisionary Technologies
Megavisionary Technologies are transformative technologies with the potential to fundamentally disrupt industries, reshape economies and civilisation, transform governance, and redefine humanity's long-term future.
While these technologies offer unprecedented opportunities to accelerate scientific discovery, improve healthcare, increase productivity, strengthen resilience and address some of humanity's greatest challenges, they also introduce significant risks relating to security, ethics, employment, misinformation, cyber resilience, geopolitical competition, human autonomy and long-term societal stability.
Rather than advocating for or against any particular technology, DISRAPTOR AI® has been established to provide independent analysis of how transformative technologies are evolving, where they are leading humanity, and what governments, business leaders and international institutions need to know to make informed strategic decisions.
The initiative reflects Gold Mercury's longstanding mission to advance Visionary Governance® through strategic foresight, systems thinking and Future Worldbuilding®, helping leaders navigate technological disruption while shaping positive planetary futures.
To address the rapidly evolving technology landscape, the Task Force will establish specialised international expert working groups focused on critical domains including artificial intelligence, AI safety, robotics, quantum computing, biotechnology, synthetic biology, human augmentation, cybersecurity, defence, healthcare, education, digital governance and other emerging technologies. These agile groups will bring together leading experts from academia, industry, government and international organisations to produce strategic intelligence, risk assessments, governance frameworks and policy recommendations on developments with the potential to reshape our world.
Artificial intelligence is advancing medical research at warp speed, bringing humanity closer to curing diseases once thought incurable. RFdiffusion3 (RFD3) is a breakthrough AI model for de novo biomolecular design, developed by the University of Washington's Institute for Protein Design.
A Global Network of Distinguished Experts
DISRAPTOR AI® brings together a global, multidisciplinary network of leading experts in artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum computing, biotechnology, healthcare, cybersecurity, economics, law, public policy, defence, business, ethics and global governance.
This breadth of expertise reflects the reality that Megavisionary Technologies® are no longer simply scientific or technological developments. They are transformative forces reshaping industries, economies, governance, security and every major system that underpins modern civilisation. Understanding and governing their impact requires collaboration across disciplines, bringing together scientists, technologists, policymakers, business leaders and governance experts.
The Task Force draws upon Gold Mercury's international network of Gold Mercury Laureates, members of the Megavisionary Council®, senior advisors, scientists, entrepreneurs, policymakers, business leaders and academic experts. As technological change accelerates, the initiative will continue to expand its global community of researchers, institutional partners and multidisciplinary specialists to strengthen its capacity to monitor emerging developments, anticipate opportunities and risks, and provide world-class strategic intelligence, governance insights and policy recommendations that help shape positive planetary futures.
“Artificial intelligence may become one of the defining forces of the twenty-first century, but no one can yet say with certainty where it will ultimately lead. It has the potential to generate extraordinary progress as well as profound disruption. Our responsibility is neither to celebrate AI nor to fear it, but to understand it—to monitor its evolution, anticipate its implications and provide leaders with the strategic intelligence needed to navigate the future.”

Understanding Technology Through a Global Governance Lens
Unlike conventional technology initiatives that focus on individual innovations or regulatory issues, DISRAPTOR AI® applies Gold Mercury's GLOGO® Global Governance Monitoring System® to understand artificial intelligence and exponential technologies as systemic forces transforming the foundations of civilisation.
By integrating geopolitical, economic, scientific, environmental, legal, cultural and societal perspectives, the Task Force provides a comprehensive assessment of how transformative technologies interact across interconnected systems and reshape global governance.
This systems-based approach enables leaders to anticipate not only the direct effects of technological change, but also the second- and third-order consequences that influence industries, institutions, societies and planetary futures. Through this broader perspective, Gold Mercury helps decision-makers move beyond reacting to disruption towards shaping resilient, responsible and future-ready technological pathways.
GLOGO®,The Global Governance Monitoring System, analyses our planetary futures, providing the strategic intelligence needed to identify the pathways that safeguard humanity's long-term future.
