The Future of Digital Television and Multi-Device Entertainment. Canal+ is a Leader in Pay TV and an Innovator in Digital Entertainment Strategy.

They offer premium multi-channel television entertainment with more than 150 programming services, including television channels from all genres, 30 HD channels and a wide range of interactive services such as 3D TV.

The company also offers original production content including award-winning documentaries as part of its strategy to provide differentiated content. Canal+ packages include premium content from third party channels, HBO original series, sport and football channels, as well as specialised movie channels.

Canal+ offers iPlus, the most advanced decoder on the market and the only one to offer HD and 3D broadcasts from the CANAL + platform. The iPlus decoder connects to the internet, thus providing access to on-demand services whenever the user wants.

Creating a new video on demand strategy: Canal+ YOMVI

Gold Mercury set out to assist Canal+ in redefining the PAY TV category and the future of television entertainment. We developed a new strategic vision for CANAL+, redefining the PAY TV value chain and setting future strategic goals in content strategy, Video-On-Demand and broadband integration strategy. This included increasing the personalisation of the user experience by developing Canal+ into a 360º entertainment system that would deliver all entertainment needs for its users.

Our project culminated in the development and launch of a new Video-On-Demand strategy and brand for Canal+ that would establish it as a fully digital entertainment brand.

The strategy we developed aimed at leveraging the value of premium content for their customers and increasing the penetration of the iPlus decoder amongst its client base.

CANAL + Yomvi allows subscribers and non-subscribers to access and enjoy Canal+ content on all devices including PC’s, iPads, iPhones, connected TVs and game consoles.
