Step 1: Candidate Nomination

The first step of our nomination and selection process is undertaken by the Gold Mercury Award Nomination Committee. The Nomination Committee is led by Nicolas De Santis, Secretary General, and it receives nominations from our team of experts and leaders in each of our award category areas. Our expert network is complemented by Glogonet, our global network monitoring best practices in all global areas to guarantee maximum coverage and awareness of major issues and visionary leadership around the world.

Step 2: Candidate Screening

In step 2 of the Award nomination and selection process, Gold Mercury International compiles a list of final nominees in each Award category, internally evaluates and researches the nominations to assess the impact of each contributor to an area. The Executive Board then compiles a list of final nominees in each category.

Step 3: Selection of Winners

Gold Mercury’s Executive Board writes a Winners Recommendation Report for Gold Mercury’s International Advisory Board. The International Advisory Board then reviews the recommendation report and confirms the Award Winners in each category.

Step 4: Winners Announced

Finally, Gold Mercury International announces the winners to the media at a chosen date and organises Award ceremonies and events to present the Awards.
